WWE world heavyweight champion is preparing for WrestleMania 28 a little differently than his pro wrestling peers. Bryan recently dropped in at the Xtreme Couture camp in Las Vegas to practice a little grappling and talk about the history of grappling in wrestling.
While I understand that there is big divide in pro wrestling and MMA fans that have a severe distaste for the other medium creeping into their favorite past time, it really is a new era for both. Guys like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are big proponents of MMA and have done a great job of relaxing the tension between fan groups.
I love the video and I think it is a fantastic opportunity for the WWE to present Bryan as more of an authentic wrestler than his colleagues on the roster. The only shame of it is that the video is on You Tube and only viewed by about 150,000 fans as opposed to airing on RAW or SmackDown and being seen by millions.
No word on whether Sheamus will be visiting AKA to work on his grappling in preparation for his WrestleMania 28 match against Daniel Bryan.
