Tables, Ladders, and Chairs oh my!
After a few short weeks after the Survivor Series, we are at the final pay-per-view of the year with the World Wrestling Entertainment, Tables, Ladders, and Chairs! I believe the main event for the card is the actual and only TLC match, and that’s for the Unified World Tag Team Championship! But that I will discuss towards the end of the blog. Something, like the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view theme song, that surprised me is that Switchfoot’s “Bullet Soul” is TLC’s official theme song. Why that’s a surprise is because they are a “Christian band,” which is why it surprises me that WWE is having a song from Switchfoot’s newest album be the official theme song for one of their theme songs! But let’s get into the ppv!
World Heavyweight Championship Defended in a Chair’s Match:
The Undertaker (champion) versus Batista (challenger)
But a rematch from WrestleMania XXIII, I am excited to see how this match would turn out, and if this match would last longer than one month. But that is hard to say. I do hope this feud would last more than a month because of the epic match that these two had. But to be honest with you guys, I cannot see the Dead Man walking out as World Heavyweight Champion.
The reason is, with Batista’s new heel turn, it would be best for him if he wins the World Heavyweight Championship, to give him more of a push. And I’ve been hearing that a match at WrestleMania XXVI will be John Cena and the Undertaker, but I hope not to see that match.
Prediction: Batista, new World Heavyweight Champion.
WWE Championship Defended in a Table’s Match:
John Cena (champion) versus Sheamus (challenger)
A match that surprises me is that match that’s being contested in the table’s match on the card, where champion John Cena takes on his challenger, Sheamus, for the WWE Championship. Something that people, even I, has complained that WWE needs new stars and new main events, and WWE is actually giving that to us. And this past week on Raw, WWE did build up Sheamus up well, and if he wins the WWE title on Sunday, I would be disappointed in ways, because he is new and this is his first main event match, but I would be happy that someone new has the title and John Cena doesn’t.
But a match that I am excited to see, because it is someone new facing “the Champ,” and how much I want to see the title off of Cena, I cannot see Sheamus walking out of TLC as WWE Champion.
Prediction: John Cena, still WWE Champion.
Unified World Tag Team Championship Defended in a TLC Match:
Jeri-Show (champions) versus D-Generation X (challengers)
The match that’s the whole pay-per-view is put upon is this match, the TLC match for the Unified World Tag Team Championship, with Chris Jericho and the Big Show defending the titles against D-Generation X. And for me, the only match that I am really excited to see is because these four men, over the last part of the past 15 years, these four men have been my favorite wrestler at some time. And with the Big Show, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H haven’t been in a TLC match, and Jericho’s been in two, where the first time around he won (when TLC made it’s only Smackdown debut, where he and Benoit successfully defended the titles).
But to give my thoughts, I think DX will win the titles because of Triple H, and he gets whatever he wants.
Predictions: DX, new tag team champions.
But to conclude, I hope this pay-per-view does well, and I do hope that the only TLC match does go in at the end as the last match. This is Eric Darsie from Minnesota, happy that Jeri-Show is facing DX, goodbye!
