Over the past few months, it has become apparent that WWE is intent on unifying its championships. The company is now down to one pair of tag team champions and one women’s champion. One can naturally assume the next championships to be unified will be the mid card belts; the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship.
With that in mind, the competitors for the match featuring the unification of these championships is painfully obvious & it’s purpose is twofold: condensing titles & showing that the stars of tomorrow have indeed arrived in WWE.
The match these two could have would not only easily be a show stealer, but would definitely be a candidate for match of the year. While the style may not be what we’re used to seeing from their Ring of Honor days, the match itself would probably be something we haven’t seen yet in WWE. As for who should walk away with the new unified championship, that’s hard to say. Both men would be great choices to carry the strap.
The NXT generation of WWE is ready to step up & be seen. The future of WWE is now. And the fans are in for a very wild ride.
