Over the past few months, it has become apparent that WWE is intent on unifying its championships. The company is now down to one pair of tag team champions and one women’s champion. One can naturally assume the next championships to be unified will be the mid card belts; the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship.
With that in mind, the competitors for the match featuring the unification of these championships is painfully obvious & it’s purpose is twofold: condensing titles & showing that the stars of tomorrow have indeed arrived in WWE.
[adinserter block=”1″]Keep the United States Championship on Daniel Bryan up until the December pay per view event. It will give him a chance to have the belt for a few months. In that time, have him take on all comers for the belt on Raw and PPV events. Bryan should be portrayed as a fighting champion & the championship should seem like something worth fighting for even though this belt is probably the one that will be retired after the unification. The United States Championship has a long & prestigious history and it should go out strong in the end.
[adinserter block=”2″]Now you’re probably asking yourself who should face United States Champion Daniel Bryan. The obvious answer is NXT Season 2 Winner Kaval, better known to fans as Low Ki. The scenario should be the same as Bryan. Put the Intercontinental Title on Kaval ASAP & have him run with it up to the December PPV event taking on and defeating all comers.
The match these two could have would not only easily be a show stealer, but would definitely be a candidate for match of the year. While the style may not be what we’re used to seeing from their Ring of Honor days, the match itself would probably be something we haven’t seen yet in WWE. As for who should walk away with the new unified championship, that’s hard to say. Both men would be great choices to carry the strap.
The NXT generation of WWE is ready to step up & be seen. The future of WWE is now. And the fans are in for a very wild ride.
