The Rock will be the latest WWE superstar to receive a new DVD set chronicling his pro wrestling career. Silvervision in the UK has released The Epic Journey of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson full content listing and it’s a good one.
The DVD is not the first and probably not the last to spotlight the People’s Champion. The DVD release date for the set is February 21, 2012. It will give new and young WWE fans a great chance to get to know the man that will headline WrestleMania 28 against John Cena.
It is quite a complete set and I can’t imagine many fans of The Rock complaining. As far as The Rock matches, I think the WWE did a terrific job of highlighting great matches that haven’t had the same kind of prominence as his usual suspects. His match vs. Steve Austin from Backlash for instance is much better than their WrestleMania match in 1999, yet it often takes a backseat to the more recognizable matches that they had.

“He electrified a generation of sports entertainment fans with his brash style, superb athleticism, and uproarious interviews. He held the WWE Championship a record seven times, and was known for legendary battles with ”Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Mick Foley, Undertaker, and more. And at the peak of his popularity, he made a move to conquer a new industry, becoming an enormous movie star. Now, he’s back in WWE, ready to main event the biggest WrestleMania in history, ”The People’s WrestleMania.” In the exciting buildup to WrestleMania XVIII, fans can, for the first time ever on DVD, relive the exciting life and times of the Rock. Packed with brand new interviews as well as a selection of the Rock’s biggest career-spanning bouts, moments, and promos, this DVD/Blu-Ray set will electrify every member of Team Bring It!”
