I want to start off by apologizing for not having a week in review for everyone last week. My classes started last week and I totally forgot to write a week in review about WWE television, so in turn, I am combining the last two weeks into one, but with that, I will keep them separate, just because I can, and because I want to, for all of you!
Week of Monday, January 4th, 2010 to Sunday, January 10th, 2010
Bret Hart was the special guest host last week on WWE television. I know I already discussed and have a piece out about this, but I still find to out to be huge. No one ever thought that Bret Hart would come back to WWE television, but he did to be accepted into the Hall of Fame and to create a new 3-disc DVD set for his fans.
For that week in the WWE, I feel like this was the biggest story in the wrestling world that deals with the WWE. Good job WWE, and great work Bret “the Hitman” Hart.
Week of Monday, January 11th, 2010 to Sunday, January 17th, 2010
Chris Jericho, in my personal opinion, on Raw in Minneapolis (not that far away from where I live), was made out as a fool, for another week. Really? Stuff like this is making me not want to watch WWE. Hey, TNA wrestling just went to a four sided ring has “Hollywood” Hulkster and Uncle Eric, and I always love watching them on my television set, I could go to Thursday nights and watch Impact.
But in turn, with “Iron” Mike Tyson as special guest host when Raw was in Minneapolis, that main event match put DX against Chris Jericho and “Iron” Mike Tyson in a tag match where if Jericho/Tyson team won, Jericho could go to any show for any length of time that he wanted. If DX won, Jericho had to get off Raw for the who-knows-how-many-of-time-now.
Why I feel like they are making Chris Jericho out as a fool is that he was banned off of Raw for however many times now, but they keep on bringing him back to beat him again. I feel like Jericho is a joke. Stuff like that piss me off. Jericho’s character seems to be a serious character. Then why make him out as a fool? To me, it simply doesn’t make sense.
But to conclude, this is my two weeks of review. Sorry, again, for putting the two into one article. This is Eric Darsie from Minnesota, eating breakfast, goodbye!
