More WWE Money In The Bank 2012 Preview & Predictions

MITB 2012Another month, and yet another “B” PPV from WWE to preview. This time, it is “No Way Out,” and it is emanating from Phoenix, Arizona tomorrow on July 15, 2012. The build up for the PPV, at least in my opinion has been hit, and miss. There has been good booking in certain places, and in others, it looks like things have been just thrown together. I doubt if it is going to do a lot of business, but we will see.

I know that WWE will likely add some matches while the PPV is going on. I honestly do not understand that tactic. How does that get any more buys? The PPV has already started, and I don’t think anyone can jump in, mid-show, and order. Why aren’t these bonus matches announced BEFOREHAND? They could also push the idea to viewers on Raw, and Smackdown that there may be extra matches to try to get folks to order. However, I don’t work for WWE, so I don’t know what is inside Vince’s head.

Anyway, here are my predictions based on what the card is at the moment, provided something else is not added. Enjoy.

Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Hunico & Camacho

This is what I call, “The Youtube Match.” This match will be shown on Youtube.com at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, as a warm up match. I don’t see a lot of potential out of this match. No big deal.

Prediction: Kingston/Truth (and little Jimmy) prevail.

Cody Rhodes vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Santino Marella vs. Sin Cara vs. Damien Sandow, Tensai vs. Christian vs Tyson Kidd in the Smackdown Money in the Bank match:

This should be one of the better worked matches on the card. It should be a really good match, if you consider the wrestlers participating in it. There should a lot of exiting bumps, and excellent wrestling done by the guys. What I really like is it appears that the winner should be someone who should be next in line for either the World Title, or the WWE Title.

Prediction: For me, it is down to Cody or Dolph. After some thinking, I am going to say it is Dolph Ziggler who gets the briefcase.

Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio for the WWE world title

This feud has been pretty dull, honestly. I love both guys, but I really am not all into the feud. Both of these guys could have a pretty good match. Sheamus’ title reign has been just OK.

Prediction: Since Alberto Del Rio came out “standing tall” on Smackdown, I predict that Sheamus keeps his title.

John Cena vs. Big Show vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane in the Raw Money in the Bank match:

Wow. This is really some field. Really, WWE, you all had to have a field with four guys who are former world champions? This is the equivalent of a Kentucky Derby with 20 past winners. I know there have been former champions in Money in the Bank to beef up the match, but this is just silly. Who is getting a push? None of these guys need an opportunity to “cash in.” These guys are not new upstarts, or upper mid carders just waiting to break through. These guys are older, established veterans. This will be a passable match at best, with Jericho doing the best he can, carrying just about everyone.

Prediction: Well, someone has to win this, and I have eliminated Kane, and Jericho. It comes down to Show and Cena. I wouldn’t be surprised if EITHER Cena or Show won. I am going to hold my nose, and guess Cena wins.

C.M. Punk vs. Daniel Bryan for WWE title with A.J. as referee

This is the match I am looking forward to seeing. The wrestling should be the best on the show. These two guys are fantastic in the ring. Love them, even though I prefer Punk, slightly. Anyway, This should be the match of the night, wrestling-wise. However, there is a catch. A.J. is the special guest referee, and is the former girlfriend of Bryan’s, and was coming on to Punk. She is also pretty nuts.

A.J. is one of the most fascinating characters that I have seen in YEARS. I just love her character. Her ability to go from one emotional state to another is fantastic. I love how she just manipulates the emotions of both Punk, and Bryan. WWE is really getting behind her too. I hope they will have something more for her when the angle ends.

Prediction: Like I said, this should be an awesome match. How involved, A.J. will be will be interesting. I think this storyline continues, so Punk retains his title.
