WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results and November 30 Recap

On this episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, The Rhodes boys defend the tag belts against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

We see a Thanksgiving banquet set up in the back, along with most of the roster. Vickie Guerrero thanks everyone coming to her Thanksgiving leftover party, but unlike previous parties, this won’t break down into mayhem. However, there will be competition, starting with a food-eating contest. The first two contestants are Titus O’Neill and the Great Khali. They begin eating as the camera moves to the arena for our opening contest.

MATCH 1: Curtis Axel (w/Ryback) vs. Mark Henry (w/Intercontinental Champion Big E. Langston)
Axel boots Henry in the gut before getting shouldered into the corner. Henry whips him across the ring and hits an avalanche. Axel runs into a back elbow as Ryback takes out Langston on the floor. Langston charges after him, and the ref manages to separate them as Axel dropkicks Henry in the knee and hits a DDT for 2. Henry throws Axel off, but Axel is back up, attacking the left knee. Henry throws him off once more, and now Axel is peppering him with rights before applying a rear chinlock. Henry headbutts Axel, then hits a side kick to the face. He gets on his knees and hits Axel with the Thump, driving Axel to the floor in front of Langston. Henry drops down to the other side, and now Axel is surrounded. Ryback tries to attack, but Langston sees him coming and clotheslines him to the floor. Henry throws Axel back into the ring and hits a standing avalanche. The World’s Strongest Slam connects, and this one’s over.

WINNER: Mark Henry. Looking at Henry and Langston together, this could actually be a really good big-man team.

Xavier Woods and R-Truth are watching Woods’ entrance from Monday night when Brodus Clay walks in. Clay is pissed, accusing Woods of stealing the Funkadactyls. He says they don’t need rookies like Woods feeding off main eventers like himself. Don’t speak unless spoken to. Clay shoves Woods, and that’s when Sweet Tcomes in to try and calm Clay down.

Renee Young is in the ring, and she welcomes WWE Champion Randy Orton to the ring for an interview. She reminds Orton that Show knocked Orton out and rolled him back in the ring at Survivor Series, only for The Authority to show up. This allowed Orton to RKO Show, punt-kick him, and get the 3. Orton begs to differ with Young. He wasn’t knocked out. He has an iron jaw. He was playing possum, which is strategy, and he didn’t need the appearance from The Authority to prove he could beat Show. If anything, that appearance tainted his inevitable victory. Young then cuts to this past Monday night on RAW as John Cena challenged Orton to a title unification match at TLC. Back to the ring, Young confirms this match has been signed and wants to know how Orton feels. Did he feel betrayed? Abandoned? Challenged? Threatened? Orton simply walks away instead of answering the question, but with purpose. If Gabriel wants to rollerblade, Gabriel rollerblades.

We get a video for the Real Americans.
Back to the food-eating contest, both guys are still going when AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka approach Vickie, saying they felt like inviting themselves to the party. Vickie says there will be a food fight if they don’t leave, and AJ says they didn’t want to be at the party anyway. Back to the eating contest, Khali passes out, meaning Titus wins. Vickie then gives him his prize, a one-on-one match with Antonio Cesaro later tonight.

MATCH 2: The Plymouth Rockers (Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater) vs. Los Matadores (Diego & Fernando) and El Torito
Slater challenges Torito to start the match, so that’s what we get. Torito rolls out of the way of a corner charge, and is then cornered by all three members of the Rockers. Drew and Mahal try to charge, but they are hit with a double dropkick by Los Matadores and all three are sent to the floor, with Slater getting clotheslined from behind at the same time. Torito takes out Slater with a somersault plancha through the ropes, and Los Matadores take out the other two with suicide dives. Fernando tags in and gets a hotshot from Slater. Mahal tags in, stomps Fernando down, then tags in Drew, and the two hit a double gourdbuster across the top rope. Drew hits a few more forearms across the back as Fernando is hung up on the ropes, then lets him drop back in the ring as Drew argues with the ref. He sucker-punches Diego on the apron, but turns around and gets spiked by a DDT from Fernando. Torito tags in and hits a springboard hurricanrana before headbutting Mahal off the apron. He dropkicks Slater, then sends Drew into the buckles with a spinning headscissors before hitting a swinging armdrag. Diego tags in, shoulders Drew through the ropes, flips over him and hits a flying forearm. Fernando tags in, and they hit a double inferted pancake for the 3-count.

WINNERS: Los Matadores and El Torito.

MATCH 3: Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Sweet T, w/the Funkadactyls) vs. R-Truth and Xavier Woods
Tensai and Truth start the match with a handshake and a lock-up. T backs Truth into the corner, but Truth ducks a clothesline and applies a side headlock. T throws him off and goes for a powerslam, but Truth escapes, does a little dance, ducks a clothesline and hits an uppercut before running into a shoulderblock. Truth pulls himself to his feet in the corner, where T hits him with an avalanche. Truth collapses in the corner, pulls himself back to his feet, hits a boot, ducks a clothesline and hits a jumping side kick. Woods tags in, ducks a clothesline and hits Clay on the apron before snapping off some jabs on T before dropkicking him in the knee. He hits a pair of boots to the side of the head before getting caught in a goozle. He grabs Woods’ foot and gets hit with an enziguri. Clay makes a blind tag, nails Woods from behind, knocks Truth off the apron and hits Woods with a middle rope splash for 3.

WINNERS: Tons of Funk. After the match, Clay is celebrating, but T and the Funkadactyls all look unsure before eventually joining in on the celebration.

Renee Young is standing by with CM Punk, asking about everything that happened on RAW between him, Daniel Bryan, the Wyatt Family and the Shield. Punk says he hasn’t heard from Bryan since he was carted off by the Wyatts. He also has severely bruised ribs as a result of a spear by Roman Reigns. He has no idea why the Shield attacked, but maybe they were acting out orders by some form of Authority. He’s going to get to the bottom of things, and when he does, it will be the Shield that needs protection.

The camera cuts away to the Wyatts. Bray Wyatt says that, when his visions come to him when he dreams, they show him mannequins posing as people, living in a world where they are intoxicated with their own vanity. But we all see symmetry in beauty, and he’s felt the sharp teeth of society. He knows what it feels like to be thrown into a groveling pit. People may look down and laugh, but he grows stronger every day. Look daddy! He got his wings back! Nobody knows you better than Wyatt. Daniel Bryan will be safe with them. He will enter the lion’s den as a man, but he will emerge a monster.

MATCH 3: Titus O’Neill (w/Darren Young) vs. Antonio Cesaro (w/Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger)
Titus applies a side headlock before hitting a shoulder, selling the food-eating contest from earlier at the same time as he acts queasy. They lock up again, and Titus goes back to the side headlock. The two crisscross and Cesaro nails a dropkick. He hits a European uppercut that sends Titus into the corner, then beats him down with rights before sending him across the ring. Titus avoids contact before hitting a big boot. Cesaro boots him in the gut before nailing a right to the same area. He then hits a knee to the gut and a gutwrench suplex. He calls for the Cesaro Swing, spinning him 6 times before Young attacks Cesaro, leading to the DQ.

WINNER VIA DISQUALIFICATION: Antonio Cesaro. Titus is acting more sick than ever, grabs JBL’s Stetson hat off the announce desk and proceeds to throw up into it. Titus continues throwing up behind the announce desk before sticking the hat on Michael Cole’s head. Titus then pukes on Zeb’s head.

MATCH 4-WWE Tag Team Championship: Goldust and Cody Rhodes (Champions) vs. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins (w/WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose)
Ambrose is on commentary for this match. Rhodes and Rollins lock-up, and Rhodes applies a side headlock before hitting a hip throw. Rollins escapes, ducks a clothesline and goes for a waistlock, but Rhodes escapes, they go into a crisscross, trade hiptoss attempts, and Rhodes finally ends it with a bodyslam. Goldust tags in and hits a fist to the shoulder from the middle rope. He comes off the ropes with a quick elbow for 1, then tags in Rhodes. Rhodes drops an elbow to the arm from the top rope, then hits a standing gourdbuster for 2. Goldust back in, and Rollins ducks a double clothesline before tagging in Reigns. Reigns and Goldust have a staredown. Goldust blocks a shot and hits a few of his own before receiving a kneelift and a headbutt. Goldust gets sent to the floor off a shoulderblock, then climbs back in after a moment. Reigns hits a boot and an uppercut, knocking Goldust into the ropes. He follows up with another headbutt, the two crisscross, and Goldust pops up with a dropkick. He ducks a clothesline from Rollins, who then gets hit with one by Rhodes. Rhodes and Goldust launch both members of the Shield to the floor as we go to commercials.

Back from the break, Rhodes has Rollins in an armbar before applying a rear chinlock. Rollins fights out, but runs into a back elbow. Rhodes drives his elbow into Rollins’ face before Rollins reverses a corner whip. Rhodes catches him coming in and goes for an Alabama Slam, but Rollins counters into a sunset flip for 2. He ducks a clothesline and hits a Ghetto Blaster for 2 before tagging in Reigns, who sends Rhodes chest-first into the buckles for 2. Rollins back in, and Reigns holds Rhodes up for a fist to the face by Rollins. Rollins rakes Rhodes in the face, but Rhodes begins fighting back with elbow shots. Rollins shakes them off and stomps Rhodes down before foot-choking him under the bottom rope. Rhodes rolls to the floor, where Reigns hits a forearm from the apron after making a tag. Back in the ring, Reigns applies a front chancery, but Rhodes fights out before running into a back elbow for 2. Rollins back in, and he hits a shot to the gut before Reigns hits one to the back of the head. Rollins hits a forearm to the chest, then a few more. He kicks Rhodes in the corner before Rhodes hits him with a back elbow and backdrops him to the floor. Rollins gets back in, tags in Reigns, and Rhodes tags in Goldust. Goldust hits a clothesline and the Goldust Uppercut before landing an inverted atomic drop and a boot to the head. He goes to the corner for some mounted punches before knocking Rollins off the apron. He ducks a couple of clotheslines and hits a cross-body for 1. Reigns reverses a corner whip before running into a powerslam for 2. Goldust goes to the top rope, but gets pulled down. He comes back with a few rights before catching Rollins off the top with an inverted atomic drop. Rollins gets clotheslined to the floor, and Reigns throws Goldust shortly thereafter. Commercials.

Back from the break, the challengers are double-teaming Goldust near the corner. Rollins hits a chop on Goldust, knocking him into the ropes. He follows up with some kicks to the chest, then foot-chokes Goldust near the bottom rope. Goldust gets to his feet and hits a few rights before getting hit with a back elbow. Rollins follows up with a running senton for 2, then applies a rear chinlock. Goldust fights out, avoids a dropkick and jackknifes Rollins for 2 before hitting a quick DDT. Reigns tags in, knocks Rhodes off the apron and hits Goldust with a clothesline for 2 as Rhodes breaks up the pin. Reigns hits a headbutt for another 2, then applies a side headlock. He breaks the hold with an elbow to the head, then tags in Rollins. They send Goldust into the corner, but he counters with a springboard double back elbow. Rhodes tags in and hits a springboard seated dropkick, ducks a clothesline and hits a Rear View. He turns a corner whip into an Oklahoma Roll for 2, then nails the Goldust Uppercut. Rhodes goes up top for a moonsault, but Rollins grabs him in an electric chair. Rhodes escapes and runs into a back elbow before receiving a complete shot into the middle buckle. Rollins mounts the middle rope, but Rhodes cuts him off and hits a Muscle Buster for 2 as Reigns breaks it up. Goldust throws Reigns to the floor, and Reigns drags him down by his feet, leading to a fight at ringside. They trade punches before Reigns throws Goldust into the barricade. Rollins gets sent to the floor, and Rhodes wipes them both out with a plancha from the top rope. He rolls Rollins back into the ring, climbs to the top and misses the moonsault. Rollins rolls to the apron and goes for a springboard, missing. Rhodes blocks a clothesline and hits the Cross Rhodes for 2, but Ambrose runs in and stomps Rhodes down.

WINNERS VIA DISQUALIFICATION: Goldust and Cody Rhodes. The attack continues after the bell until CM Punk comes down, wielding a chair. He nails Reigns at the bottom of the ramp, then chases Ambrose out of the ring.

Vickie Guerrero appears on the TitanTron and tells Punk if he wants to get to the Shield so badly, fine. This match is now a 6-man. Commercials.

MATCH 5: CM Punk, and WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. The Shield (WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins)
Punk and Ambrose have started the match after the commercial break concludes, with attacking Ambrose in the corner. Ambrose gets sent across the ring, and Punk follows up with some mounted elbow shots before hitting a short-arm clothesline for 2. He throws Ambrose to his team’s corner, and Goldust tags himself in, hitting a running clothesline for 2. Goldust tags in Rhodes, who hits Ambrose with a series of rights before stomping him down in the corner. Ambrose comes back with punches of his own, but Rhodes sends him into the corner and hits a back body drop. Punk back in, and he comes off the top with a punch to the face. Punk corner-whips Ambrose, but misses the Pepsi Max. Rollins tags in, and he’s met with a drop toehold. Punk snaps his left leg backwards before tagging in Goldust, who hits an elbow and continues attacking Rollins’ leg. Rhodes tags in, and the two trade punches. Rollins steps between the ropes to get Rhodes to back off, and uses that space to nail a right to the face. Rhodes recovers and throws Rollins to the floor, then whips him into the barricade. Back in the ring, Rhodes tags in Goldust, and they give Rollins a wishbone before Goldust nails a right to the face for 2. Rhodes tags back in, stomps Rollins and tags in Punk. Punk hits a backbreaker for 2, then applies an inverted STF. Rhodes tags in, and he applies a half-Boston crab at the same time. He applies a hammerlock and rams Rollins into the buckles, but Rollins reverses and sends Rhodes face-first into the middle buckle. Ambrose tags in and stomps Rhodes down as we go to commercials.

Back from the break, Ambrose is attacking Rhodes’ left arm before sending him into the corner with a boot. Rhodes gets whipped across the ring and collapses to the mat. Rhodes escapes a back suplex and hits a Goldust Uppercut. He hits a boot out of the corner and begins crawling to his corner to tag in Punk. Punk ducks a clothesline, hits a pair of double axe handles and a jumping side kick. He connects with the Pepsi Max in the corner, followed by a short-arm clothesline. A swinging neckbreaker connects, and Punk calls for the GTS. Before it can connect, the lights go out. When they come back on, the Wyatt Family are on the ramp. Ambrose nails Punk from behind off the distraction and tags in Reigns, who assaults Punk with rights before tagging in Ambrose, who stomps Punk down. Rollins tags in and begins working over Punk’s left leg before dropping an elbow for 2. Ambrose in, and Punk avoids a double back body drop before connecting with a neckbreaker on Ambrose and a simultaneous DDT on Ambrose. As he crawls to his corner, the Wyatts pull Goldust and Rhodes the floor for an assault.

WINNERS VIA DISAQUALIFICATION: CM Punk, Goldust and Cody Rhodes. The attack on the Rhodes boys continues on the outside as Reigns sends Punk chest-first into the buckles in the ring. The Usos hit the ring and attack the Wyatts. Rey Mysterio comes down moments later and low-bridges Reigns to the floor. Rollins receives a pair of spinning headscissors, followed by a third. Mysterio goes for the 619, but gets tripped by Ambrose.

Vickie Guerrero comes out and says this chaos will not continue on her show. She demands order. This match will now be a 12-man tag team match. Commercials.

MATCH 6: CM Punk, WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, and the Usos (Jey & Jimmy) vs. The Shield (WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins), and the Wyatt Family (Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Bray Wyatt)
After the break, Ambrose is with an Uso before tagging in Harper. Harper attacks the Uso, which I now see is Jimmy. Jimmy comes back with a mule kick and a roll-up for 2 before running into a back elbow. Harper tags in Rollins as Wyatt is screaming at him. Rollins stomps Jimmy down in the corner before tagging in Wyatt, who continues the stomping. He drops an elbow, then hits a running boot to the face before tagging in Harper. Harper boots Jimmy in the face before applying the Gator Roll that he turns into a rear chinlock. He breaks the hold to hit a European uppercut, then whips Jimmy across the ring. Jimmy meets him with a back elbow and tags in Mysterio, who ducks a clothesline and hits a spinning headscissors into a tornado DDT for 2. He kicks Harper in the leg a couple of times before tripping him into the middle buckle. Mysterio climbs to the top and hits a cannonball before running into a big boot for 2. Harper drags him to the corner and tags in Wyatt, who backs Mysterio into the corner and whips him across the ring. He follows up with a big avalanche for 2, then Rowan tags himself in. He hits a bodyslam, then applies a swinging bearhug. Mysterio elbows his way out, bounces off the ropes and runs right into a sidewalk slam for 2. He deadlifts Mysterio off the mat and props him across the top rope. Ambrose tags in after Rowan hits some gut shots on Mysterio, and as Mysterio tries to crawl to his corner, Ambrose cuts him off and applies a front chancery. Mysterio fights out, but gets a kitchen sink near the ropes for 2. Rollins tags in, but Mysterio hits him with a kick. Rowan and Punk tag in, and Punk hits a springboard clothesline, several more and a series of kicks before knocking him to the floor with a roundhouse. He follows up with a suicide dive before rolling Rowan back into the ring. He meets Rowan with a trio of Pepsi Maxes in the corner, ducks a clothesline and hits a swinging neckbreaker. He goes up top for the Macho Elbow, which connects for 2 as Ambrose breaks up the pin. Rollins comes in and gets taken out by Rhodes. Ambrose gets clotheslined to the floor by Goldust before getting hit by a spear by Reigns. The Usos drop him with a double superkick, then hit one on Harper. They take out Harper and Rollins on the outside with a pair of suicide dives. In the ring, Punk signals for the GTS and lifts Rowan up for it, but Wyatt breaks it up and goes for Sister Abigail. Mysterio dropkicks him in the face before hitting Rowan with a hurricanrana and the 619. Punk drops Rowan with the GTS and gets the 3.

WINNERS: CM Punk, Goldust, Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes and the Usos.
