WINNER: Dolph Ziggler.
As you would expect, since this is the “go-home” show before Wrestlemania on Sunday, this episode is loaded with filler that doesn’t need a recap.
MATCH 2: The Real Americans (Cesaro and Jack Swagger, w/Zeb Colter) vs. Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando, w/El Torito)
Swagger and Fernando start with a lock up, and Swagger quickly rams Fernando to the corner for a series of kneelifts. Fernando reverses a corner whip, then goes for a headscissors out of the corner. Diego tags in and hits a spinning headscissors of his own. Zeb slaps Cesaro as he is shaking things off, and Swagger is forced to step between the two of them. Cesaro gets back in the ring and levels Diego with a dropkick before hitting a series of European uppercuts. I lost count of how many were hit. Cesaro hits the deadlift gutwrench suplex, and now Diego is has rolled to the apron. Cesaro suplexes him back in and floats over into a 1-count. Swagger shoves him back, but then runs into a pair of boots. Cesaro comes in illegally, and gets low-bridged to the floor. Diego kicks Swagger away and tries for a tag, but Cesaro attacks Fernando on the outside. Swagger recovers and hits Diego with a belly-to-belly for 2. He hits the Swagger Bomb as Cesaro tags in, and he follows up with the leapfrog double-stomp for 2. Diego comes back with elbows and punches out of the corner, then calls for Fernando to get back on the apron for a tag. Swagger tags in and tries for a double team, but Diego sends them both to the outside. He crawls to his corner as Swagger comes back in. Cesaro and Fernando tag in, and Fernando hits a pair of flying headbutts. He slides under Cesaro’s legs and snaps off a hurricanrana before hitting a springboard back elbow for 2. Cesaro catches him and hits the Cesaro Swing for 10 revolutions. He then hits the Neutralizer and gets the 3.
Hulk Hogan cuts a long-winded promo. I think the word “brother” was in there some where.
And…that’s it! See you next week.
End of show.
