Serbia is a -115 favorite in this contest against the Aussies, who have had a rough tournament. They showed a lot of heart in coming back to earn a point against the Ghanains, but those who are writing a 2010 World Cup blog will tell you that heart won’t get you through the group stages, and it’s significantly tougher to do it when you lose your best offensive players to red cards. The Serbs pulled out their win over a German team that played well below their usual standards, but a win is a win and three points are three points, so you won’t hear any complaints from them. This is the first time that these two countries will meet, and the Serbs need a win to ensure they go on. A draw will only work if Ghana loses to Germany, and while that should happen, three points would make Serbia fans feel much better.
