WandaVision Season 2: Renewed or Cancelled?

You might want to sit down for this one.

As much as we hate how much Wanda has suffered throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we still can’t help but see it to the end. The same thing happened with WandaVision and the ending was a tear coaster but you had to see it to the end and see for yourself if Wanda will get any salvation.

But now that season one is over, fans are extremely excited about what happens after the events of Westview and what is the fate of Wanda after keeping a whole town hostage. Many speculations have arisen about if there will be a second season for WandaVision or not.

Here is everything we know about it so far:

Will There Be a Season 2?

The short answer is, No, there will not be a second season for WandaVision as the show was a one-and-done series and was not scripted for a second season. The director of Moon Knight, Mohamed Diab confirmed in an interview with GamesRadar where he apparently confirmed that there won’t be a second season for WandaVision.

While describing the MCU storylines in Marvel movies he said: “It’s like a crazy world. Even with the successful shows, like WandaVision, they’re not doing season two. She jumped into a film, maybe she’s going to come back or not. I don’t know. And that’s exciting.” It’s why fans needn’t worry too much about WandaVision Season 2.”

As for how much his words are credible since Diab is one of the directors of Moon Knight, it should be easier to predict just how much he would have an insight about the upcoming projects of Marvel movies and series. So his words can be considered pretty reliable.

There’s Still Hope

Although it is confirmed that there won’t be a second season for WandaVision but this is MCU and things just don’t end here. Although Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios also confirmed that there were no plans for a second season, he still said: “I’ve been at Marvel too long to say a definite ‘no’ to anything as far as the second season of WandaVision. The fun of the MCU is obviously all the crossover we can do between series, between films.”

As to what this could mean, we already know that this was not the last of Wanda and since she has been put at the forefront of the storyline for Marvel’s Phase Four, she is definitely going to play some huge parts in the future. One is in Doctor Strange Sequel, Multiverse of Madness where we will be seeing more of the pissed-off Wanda.

As for the other characters from WandaVision, it has been confirmed that Agatha will be getting her own spin-off series but the rest of the characters are yet to be seen in future projects. The multiverse of Madness is scheduled for a theatrical release on 6 May 2022.
