And with the advent of autumn, that can only mean one thing: it is time to start planning for this year’s Halloween costume! If you’re unsure of what to dress up as and also want to make sure that you are in touch with the popular trends, then check out this handy list for costumes you just can’t live without.

According to my research, the trendiest costumes for Halloween 2010 center around artists like Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson, popular movie characters like Naytiri from Avatar, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Perseus from Clash of the Titans, and with the current Twilight craze, Twilight-specific characters such as Edward Cullen or even more generic vampire costumes are hot commodities right now. Alice in Wonderland and the Queen of Hearts are going to be big hit this year, especially with the teens, thanks to Tim Burton’s re-imagining of Lewis Carroll’s famous series.

With the list I have compiled, you are sure to have the trendiest Halloween costumes around and be the shining star of any costume party that you attend this year:

1) Lady Gaga Pokerface Costume

2) Avatar: Neytiri Na’vi Costume

3) Iron Man Deluxe Costume

4) The Last Airbender-Aang Costume

5) Twilight: Edward Cullen costume

6) Vampiress Costume

7) Clash of the Titans: Perseus Costume

8) Michael Jackson Thriller Costume

9) Alice in Wonderland Costume

10) Queen of Hearts Costume

As always, have fun shopping for your Halloween costume!
