Three Biggest WWE Storylines Of The Week – October 14

  1. Goldberg! Goldberg!

The icon known as Goldberg is coming to WWE Monday Night Raw next week. Do not rub your eyes. They are not playing tricks on you.

On Raw, Paul Heyman came to the ring to deliver a response to Goldberg, on behalf of Brock Lesnar. During an interview with Jonathan Coachman on ESPN last week, Goldberg stated that he was unsure if he wanted to return to the squared circle. Yet, Goldberg said he would face Lesnar if he decided to return to action.  After all,Goldberg figured that he would beat Lesnar again just like he did at Wrestlemania XX.  Paul Heyman called Goldberg’s bluff and challenged Goldberg to a match in the near future and, later, Goldberg tweeted that he would answer Lesnar’s challenge next Monday.

One can be sure that there will be combustible elements if Goldberg and Lesnar meet face-to-face next week.

  1. Bray Wyatt reunites with Luke Harper.

Bray Wyatt received a little help from an old friend to secure a big win against the “Viper” Randy Orton at No Mercy. This old friend goes by the name of Luke Harper. Luke Harper’s momentary distraction of Randy Orton at No Mercy led to a rare PPV win for Bray Wyatt. Wyatt’s momentum would continue on Smackdown Live when he teamed up with Luke Harper to take on the duo of Randy Orton and the Big Red Machine, Kane.

Just as it looked like Randy Orton was going to tag Kane towards the end of the match, the lights would go out, just as they did at the No Mercy PPV. When the lights came back on, Kane was nowhere to be found. Without Kane’s aid, Randy Orton was easy prey for the Wyatt Family. It is clear that the Wyatt Family have Orton’s number at the moment.

  1. James Ellsworth defeats AJ Styles on Smackdown Live.

AJ Styles’ night of gloating turned into a night of utter humiliation. His night of gloating included a mock match against the jobber extraordinaire James Ellsworth. Before the match took place, Dean Ambrose came down and demanded a rematch with Styles. Finally, Daniel Bryan came and laid the final hammer down on AJ Styles by making Dean Ambrose the special referee. Dean Ambrose made AJ Styles’ life a living nightmare throughout the match. In addition to tripping Styles and pretending to answer a cell phone call during a submission hold, Dean Ambrose would knock out Styles with two Dirty Deeds and, ultimately, put Ellsworth on Styles for the three count.

On Talking Smack, Daniel Bryan announced that James Ellsworth would get a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against AJ Styles on next week’s Smackdown Live. Will David defeat Goliath again? Tune in to find out!
