The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar UFC 121 Confrontation – Video

The Undertaker and Brock LesnarThe fireworks at UFC 121 didn’t end with Cain Velasquez’s win. Check out this intense video of a confrontation between the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. Undertaker and Lesnar have a pretty intense stare down as Lesnar leaves the ring and let’s just say the Dead Man was ready to rumble.

[adinserter block=”2″]This is a fascinating interview on a few different levels. Number one and foremost was seeing the Undertaker interviewed out of character in the media. I can’t remember the last time the Undertaker ever did a media interview. Kudos to AOL Fanhouse’s Ariel Helwani for landing the interview that has eluded journalists for about 20 years. Ariel is a big pro wrestling fan and has recently landed interviews with Paul Heyman and The Rock as well at recent events. Meltzer also reports that Dana White is probably not going to be very happy when the story gets back to him.

Before anyone gets crazy, Dave Meltzer put this immediately into perspective on his UFC 121 post-show podcast on F4Wonline.com. Meltzer said that Vince McMahon is trying to put together Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker for WrestleMania 27. The idea would have been “The Streak vs. The UFC heavyweight title.” Obviously that would change quite a bit now, but that was the deal here. Whether MMA fans like this or not, it is an absolute brilliant angle and makes a ton of sense. The idea of Brock going back to the WWE for a big one-night payday is very likely. I would even say that with the loss, it is even more likely that this match happens at WrestleMania than it would have prior to the loss.

[adinserter block=”1″]Finally the last interesting tidbit which is something that The Rock said to Hawani during his interview is that the Undertaker would have gotten into MMA if it were bigger when he got into pro wrestling. The Undertaker acknowledged that he was too old to go down that road now, but this seems to be a common theme among superstar pro wrestlers. I could see someone like a mid card wrestler saying this but you have two of the biggest WWE superstars of all time saying they would have preferred to do something else if things were different 10-20 years ago.

My first instinct when I saw this was that Vince McMahon would be furious at the Undertaker for doing a media interview at an MMA event, while ignoring media requests for almost 20 years when it came to promoting the WWE. Knowing what I now, Vince McMahon has to be ecstatic at the immediate press that this confrontation is getting. I would not be surprised to see still shots or even the video shown on WWE RAW and SmackDown this week.

  1. Hell i can't believe Brock lost let alone getti9ng messed up with that wwe joke again. Brock better concentrate on getting the title back from that mexican first thing.Vince McMahon and wwe suck.

  2. That was funny. The Undertaker put Brock in his place, didn't he? "Wanna do it?" Brock just kept walking. I thought Cain was going to win, but like the Undertaker, I thought it would be in the later rounds, citing endurance. He manhandled Brock like he's been doing all those other heavies. He is the real deal!
