The fireworks at UFC 121 didn’t end with Cain Velasquez’s win. Check out this intense video of a confrontation between the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. Undertaker and Lesnar have a pretty intense stare down as Lesnar leaves the ring and let’s just say the Dead Man was ready to rumble.
Before anyone gets crazy, Dave Meltzer put this immediately into perspective on his UFC 121 post-show podcast on F4Wonline.com. Meltzer said that Vince McMahon is trying to put together Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker for WrestleMania 27. The idea would have been “The Streak vs. The UFC heavyweight title.” Obviously that would change quite a bit now, but that was the deal here. Whether MMA fans like this or not, it is an absolute brilliant angle and makes a ton of sense. The idea of Brock going back to the WWE for a big one-night payday is very likely. I would even say that with the loss, it is even more likely that this match happens at WrestleMania than it would have prior to the loss.
My first instinct when I saw this was that Vince McMahon would be furious at the Undertaker for doing a media interview at an MMA event, while ignoring media requests for almost 20 years when it came to promoting the WWE. Knowing what I now, Vince McMahon has to be ecstatic at the immediate press that this confrontation is getting. I would not be surprised to see still shots or even the video shown on WWE RAW and SmackDown this week.
