WWE is at an interesting place right now. With Survivor Series on the approach, the main event scene is wide open for someone to grab that brass ring and start a new era that is so desperately needed in the company.
Things seem grim at a glance, but for those talented and driven WWE Superstars, it has become the Hunger Games.
This serves as a prime opportunity for these Superstars to show up, show out and seize the moment while it’s there. Vince talks about the brass ring – there’s no strong hold on it right now. Your top guys, your “go to” guys are gone with injuries, etc. Survivor Series is one of the “Big Four” events that take place every year. There is great opportunity to set the new standard and put everyone on notice that this generation has indeed arrived.
They can start by crowning a brand new, fresh face as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. They had a good start with Seth Rollins, even though his booking hasn’t been favored. Continue the trend of fresh Champions is what I say. Regardless if it’s Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, or another competitor, no one wants to see a previous and predictable champion right now.
If Sheamus attempts to cash in at Survivor Series, he better lose. This could elevate someone like Roman Reigns if the opportunity should present itself. Wouldn’t that speak volumes if Reigns did win and the cash in attempt failed?
Bray Wyatt has been the talk of the pro wrestling world for a couple weeks now, as it is evident that he and his Wyatt Family cohorts will be taking on the team of the Brothers of Destruction at the classic fall event. Even though Wyatt has faced the Undertaker on the grand stage of WrestleMania, the stakes are higher. In addition, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Braun Stowman get to share this grand opportunity with Wyatt. This is a dream match for many fans, and it will deliver.
With the way things are looking, Survivor Series could very well set the stage for today’s talent to put their mark on the company, create milestones and change their careers forever.
With Superstars like Neville, Wade Barrett, Cesaro and Kevin Owens, the talent pool WWE can choose from is rather abundant. I haven’t even mentioned others that can and will make an impact if given the chance. These faces can make a big impact on the main event scene, title or no title. Owens is currently the Intercontinental Champion, and a good feud is what he and others need to succeed further. Owens already is top notch with his heel persona; he can be the new top heel if the Authority were to recruit him.
The talent is there. WWE has the best talent pool right now that they haven’t had in years. Why they aren’t being used to their full, maximum potential is beyond me.
With a table of opportunities being set, there are so many scenarios that can play out. Hopefully, WWE will realize this and takes some good risks to close out the end of 2015. This is the time for new and current faces to prove to the brass that they’re worthy of this chance that’s been presented. WWE has taken risks before and they have been proven successful. There is no better time than now to capitalize on the vacant spots that have been left behind as of late. Vince McMahon and company need to wake up and stop being safe with their product. John Cena is safe. Safe is boring. Fans don’t want to be bored anymore.
This new generation has the best chance to seize the moment and create their legacies. Let it happen. And it should happen at starting at Survivor Series.
