For the first time in seven years, Steve Austin and The Rock will be involved in WrestleMania. Stone Cold Steve Austin will return to WWE RAW Monday March 7. Austin will appear live for the first time in almost a year and is promising to open up a can of whoop a$$!
If pro wrestling wasn’t exciting enough with the return of The Rock, Dwayne Johnson’s biggest rival is also jumping back into the WWE scene. Steve Austin will appear live on RAW for the first time in over a year. Austin will be there to promote WrestleMania 27 and as he said on his Twitter, “I’m taking a 6 pack of WHOOP ASS to Monday Night Raw in Dallas Texas…Oh Hell Yeah!!!” I can’t wait!
Until it is official on RAW, I won’t talk too much about his appearance in the Lawler vs. Cole match. I’d hate to judge an angle before it happens. The appearance will likely be the first of a lengthy run back on WWE RAW. Steve Austin is currently the WWE Tough Enough host which is in production. Austin will host the show which debuts the Monday following WrestleMania 27. I would guess that Austin will pop up periodically on RAW over the next few months to promote the show.
I would suspect that the RAW rating for March 3 will be huge, if not the biggest number in years. Chances are that The Rock won’t be there live, but there is a good shot that he will be featured somewhere in the show via video. The thought of seeing both The Rock and Steve Austin on the same episode of RAW for the first time in well over seven years is sure to create a big enough buzz to spike the rating of the show.
Unfortunately in a few months both of these guys will be gone and it will be up to John Cena, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Edge, CM Punk, and Randy Orton to keep business up. Enjoy it while it lasts.
