This is like two great tastes that go great together. Wrestling fans who are fans of Dave Batista will have a chance to see him again on a movies screen in the near future.
As yahoo.com reported, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Batista also joins the cast as an enforcer named Mr. Hinx, while Sherlock’s Andrew Scott joins as Denbigh. The two Bond girls will be Blue Is the Warmest Color star Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann and Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra.
The film, which will be directed by Skyfall director Sam Mendes, will bring back Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ralph Fiennes as M.
If all that news wasn’t enough, here’s the official plot synopsis: “A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.”
The Bond series, which is now 24 films strong, is one of the signature films that generations can identify with as one of the greatest crime fighters of all time not only for the Bond character, played by Craig, but for the beautiful women who have graced the screen over the last six decades.
Because of my love for the movies series and the beautiful damsels over the years, I put together a list of wrestlers over the years who would have made the perfect villains on the big screen.
The “Russian Bear” is a perfect name for a Bond enemy. The big “bearish” man with his ties to Russia would have been ideal in the 1970s and early 1980s Bond movies.
It would be too over the top if he walked out with Animal from the LOD. I could see him walking around in his African safari jacket, wrapping his Wall Street Journal in his hand with his dark sunglasses. He would have been perfect in “For Your Eyes Only.”
The man in a tuxedo and a boiler hat. The cane would have made a great weapon. If he walked around with Demolition by his side, Bond wouldn’t have stood a chance.
The big Bulgarian is already the best heel in the WWE. This is a no-brainer. The 6-foot, 300-pounder is intimidating just looking at him. With Lana by his side, there may actually be a movie in his future.
He is big, strong and powerful. E wouldn’t have to say many words, but he could beat the hell out of everyone. Maybe Ellering could be his mouth piece. Let’s just make sure he is wearing clothes, not a singlet in the movie.
He is tall and intimidating. If the Bond franchise can bring back old villains, then maybe Khali can bring back “Jaws” from Moonraker.
There was something so believable about Hart and his sinister style. Add the fact he was so stylish in his suits and vests when he stood before the camera, he was a movie star in the making.
You have to include Mitchell, the Sinister Minister. His eyebrows and his devil grin are enough to make you shake. Maybe he brings Abyss or Rhyno with him.
The theme behind the new Bond movie and the title “Spectre” recalls the global terrorist group that appeared in the very first Bond film, Dr. No, as well as novels by Ian Fleming. It is an acronym, at least in those old installments, for “Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion.” I personally cannot wait to see it.
