Emanating from Baltimore, Maryland on December 18, 2012 will be WWE’s final Pay Per View of 2012 called Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC). This year’s edition will be a bit strange without two men I consider the masters of the Tables , Ladders, and Chair Match, which is the main event match of the PPV, Christian to injury (severe high ankle sprain), and Edge to retirement, especially since last year at this PPV, it was Edge who won his tenth World Title in the TLC match. Nonetheless, despite a very , very lackluster promotion by WWE, and the likelihood of a low buyrate, on paper, this show looks like we could have a pretty good card, and a few of the matches could actually be good. The little kids should not worry though, as I think that even though as of this writing, Cena is not booked for a match, WWE will find some way to have him on the show.
Now, without further ado, here are my predictions:
This match I suspect should be the match of the night. I am thinking CM Punk is going to retain here. The Miz has been recently put back in the title picture, and I honestly do not know what they are doing with Del Rio. Has the office lost faith in him? It seems that his push has been screwed up somewhere along the line. WWE finally got around to letting Del Rio have a title run, but it only last three weeks because Vince got panicked over a low rating, so Cena had to have the belt. Anyway, Punk is on fire as a character, and it is too soon to take the belt from him. Winner: CM Punk
World Title in a Chairs Match: Mark Henry (c) vs The Big Show
How much longer these two will feud, I have no idea, but I kind of sense Henry will once again retain. I think he should actually. He is hot as a heel, and much like Kane, I am guessing WWE is giving Henry what I call a “Gold Watch” title run. What I mean is that since Henry has been there such a long time, and is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, they are giving him a pretty lengthy title reign. I personally am enjoying his reign. Winner: Mark Henry
Intercontinental Title: Cody Rhodes (c) vs Booker T
Well, I am thinking they are going to have Booker feud with Rhodes for a bit. I think it is possible that Booker could win the match but not the title, but I think for business, it is better for Rhodes to win, maybe not a clean win at first, but Rhodes should go over here.
Booker doesn’t need the win or the title. Winner: Cody Rhodes
Tables Match: Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett
This should be a very good match. Barrett has been coming into his own as a star. Orton is the type of top guy where if he loses clean, he won’t be hurt. It is good to see Orton putting over younger guys. It would help Wade a lot if he won clean. Winner: Wade Barrett
US Title: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs Zack Ryder
Well, Ziggler, who has emerged as an awesome worker has to defend his US Title against the internet sensation, Mr. Woo Woo Woo, Zack Ryder. Ryder is definitely over with the internet fans, and the fans at the arena, depending on where they are. Sounds to me that Mr. Ryder may wind up with the belt. Winner: Zach Ryder
I hope this ends Nash’s terrible run with WWE. Hunter is coming back from the neck “injuries” that Nash gave him a few weeks ago to fight Nash, and whomever is able to get the Sledgehammer that is hung over the ring first can use it. I don’t see this as a great match. Winner: Triple H
Those are my predictions. Enjoy the PPV, and I hope everyone has a great holiday, and a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
