Mission Impossible 7 Gets an Official Title Along with Trailer Reveal at CinemaCon

Ethan Hunt’s journey is finally reaching a conclusion.

Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible franchise has been cruising its way through the big and small screens for decades. It all started with the first movie in 1996 which beautifully and realistically portrayed the life of a secret agent of the government.

People quickly started loving these movies for their theme and the story of secret agents saving the world. The movies were equally liked by the critics and soon enough it became a franchise of its own which Tom Cruise produced and also starred in.

But now that franchise is finally coming to an end. It was announced that Mission Impossible’s final installment will be released in two parts and that will be the end of the story. The seventh and eighth installments will be titled “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning” Part one and Part two respectively.

Here is everything we know about it so far:

CinemaCon Presentation

The first look at MI7 was revealed at the Colosseum theatre of Caesars Palace by Tom Cruise himself. However, he was not physically present at the show. Paramount chief Brian Robbins first took the stage and complimented Cruise after which a “special message” was played with confirmation that Tom was not able to attend.

Tom was seen standing inside an antique red plane and was supposedly filming for MI8 in South Africa. He said in a muffled voice: “Hey everyone, wish I could be there with you. I’m sorry for the extra noise. As you can see, we are filming the latest installment of Mission: Impossible.”

Then a yellow plane appeared and Tom was instructed to go but he revealed the first look at MI7 before flying off which was followed by his upcoming film “Top Gun: Maverick”. He added: “Let’s all try to have a great summer. See you at the movies!” before the plane took off.

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part-1 First Look

The trailer featured Ethan Hunt getting instructed by Kittridge, his former ops boss. She tells Ethan: “Your days of fighting for the greater good are over. This is our chance to control the truth…the concepts of right and wrong for everyone for centuries to come. You’ve been fighting to save an idea that doesn’t exist, never did. You need to pick a side.”

This scene is followed by some intense stunts and fighting scenes across Venice, the Vatican, the Desert, and Trains. The trailer ends with a signature stunt by Tom Cruise.

Mission Impossible 7 Release Date

The cast that will be appearing alongside Tom Cruise is Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, and Charles Parnell.

MI7 is scheduled for a release on July 14, 2023, and MI8 and possibly the last movie of the franchise will release on 28th June 2024.
