[adinserter block=”1″]In case you weren’t aware, Jose Cansenco fought his first MMA match last night in Japan. Jose participated in the Dream Super Hulk tournament and fought 7-foot-2 330 pound Hong Man Choi in Yokohama. How did Jose fare? Well, he is still alive.

The fight was a joke from the start. MMA star Frank Trigg recently ripped Jose apart in an interview on Sirius/XM. Trigg was contacted about training Cansenco. He said that Cansenco had no passion for MMA. He also said that Cansenco was in it for the money (Shocker). Trigg also stated that it would hurt his credibility if he helped Canseco….Thanks for http://www.mmanews.com for the quotes.

Jose must not have had much luck getting any other trainers. Jose entered the fight with his girlfriend and that was it. Jose had nobody else in his corner or trainers with him for the fight.

Going into the fight, Jose wasn’t what you would exactly call confident. “I’m not gonna lie to you, I’m scared. This guy is huge,” Canseco said Monday at a press conference to promote the fight. “I’m a 44-year-old rookie and have had a lot of challenges in my baseball career and hopefully, I can do well tomorrow.”

[adinserter block=”2″]Watch for yourself and see how Jose did against the big giant. He did throw some decent shots early on. However, it looked like Jose planned to just lay down whenever he hit the ground and stay there. Jose offered no fight back from the ground and pound. It wasn’t as if you didn’t know what you were getting into with this guy if you’re the Dream promotion.

In other MMA news , Dana White confirmed that Rampage Jackson will be the first challenger to Lyoto Machida’s UFC light heavyweight title. This will be Jackson’s first opportunity to regain the title since losing the belt to Forrest Griffin last year. The fight has yet to be scheduled, but I would look out for a September date at possibly UFC 102.
