Jim Ross in TNA Wrestling, The Big Show and Other Wrestling Thoughts

If there is something I agree with more than thing with respect to TNA and Impact Wrestling, it is the hiring of Jim Ross would be the best move the company could make.

[adinserter block=”1″]Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Dixie Carter, Mick Foley and others have all had a hand in the script writing and angles of this company over the years–to no avail. The proven commodity of Dusty Rhodes and Jim Cornette helped, but they left the company when it needed them most.

Now, with the company in the doldrums thanks to Hogan, Bischoff and Carter and the mismanagement of storylines and high-priced contracts, it is now a wasteland, full of talent that would rival that of the WWE, if not exceed it.

And the thought of a TNA invasion story in the WWE would never work – but would be awesome.

“I would love to see Jim Ross in TNA. I think TNA could benefit hugely from Jim,” Bully Ray said in an interview with the Daily Star.

“On a personal level, when Devon and I signed for WWE, we negotiated with Jim and he was the man who we signed the contracts with. He’s just a top quality person.”

Ross and his skill as a negotiator and talent scout would be beneficial and could lead to the return of former TNA superstars. It could also mean that new storylines develop, pay-per-views could take place and more creative ways to spend money at lower costs could evolve.

There is also the chance that former or current mid card talents from the WWE could make their way to Florida. Chris Masters, Tyson Kidd, Harry Smith and Zack Ryder come to mind off the top of my head.

Also, Ross’ touch on the microphone would be a welcomed addition to uneven balance of Mike Tenay and Tazz.

The Rhodes Boys are back

We know Monday was not the last time we saw Dustin and Cody Rhodes in a WWE arena or ring.

The sudden attack of the Rhodes boys on The Shield was dynamic and a perfect setup for the brothers to challenge the “Hounds of Justice” for the WWE Tag Team Titles. It also provides a great opportunity to make the Rhodes family a cohesive unit – not the fighting, uneven machine it could have become.

Seeing the brothers come together to defend their father, Dusty, as he was knocked out by The Big Show last week rocked the Casbah.

Big Show picks a side

We don’t need to know what is going to happen with Big Show now that he knocked out The Miz on Monday night.

Look for Big Show to now defend the McMahons and become the muscle that covers Randy Orton’s back. My only question right now is that I wonder how much longer The Shield remain a viable support system for Triple H and serve as the goons of this angle.

If there were to be a shake up in the unholy trio, I could see Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins join forces and force the more intimidating Roman Reigns out of the picture.

Reigns as a face presents so many possibilities.

AJ and Dixie

[adinserter block=”2″]The battle between AJ Styles and Dixie Carter had better continue this week for the legitimacy of the story line. Like other writers and fans, I am not buying the idea that Styles is not under contract and that the company’s John Cena would jump ship somewhere else.

Also, the idea of Styles not being able to challenge for the TNA World Title for the last year and now challenging Bully Ray for the Title is too perfect.

Styles losing would be catastrophic.

  1. I have been watching TNA really hard lately and their talent is not up to speed with the WWE. Maybe the talent is there but they need work, a lot of work. I do agree that they need to stick with the Dixie/AJ angle I feel that is they mess it up that it's all over.
