James Answers For The Heat As They Take Game Two From Chicago

The Miami Heat are cooling offWhen NBA color commentator Charles Barkley makes an online sports betting prediction, it might be a good thing for people around the world to keep their mouths closed and listen. After all, it was the legendary NBA forward turned TV personality that made the prediction that Lebron James and the Miami Heat would have an answer for the Chicago Bulls in game two and draw even in the series, and that is exactly what they did.

Lebron James scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out five assists to lead the Heat to an 85-75 victory and steal the momentum and home court advantage from the top team in the NBA during the regular season as the sports betting series shifts to South Beach for games two and three.

Not that this game didn’t have it’s highs and lows for a Miami team that led by as many as 11 at one point only to watch their lead almost completely disappear. But that was when James took over and answered for the Heat with nine points over the final 4:27 of play, including the go-ahead three-point shot that made it 76-73 for a lead that Chicago would never be able to catch.

Both teams looked as though they had the momentum at different points in the game, but in the end it was Lebron who snatched control of the game and made sure that it didn’t slip out of his hands. He wasn’t alone with Dwayne Wade adding 24 points and nine boards, while Chris Bosh was much more quiet offensively with just 10 points but did the dirty work with eight pay per head rebounds.

Unlike in the first game where the Heat played directly into Chicago’s game plan and kept pushing it inside to Bosh for the easy two and not getting James and Wade more into the rhythm of the game, Miami took a step back in this one and realized that if they were going to have a chance they would need to put the ball in the hands of that duo. Udonis Haslem provided somewhat of a spark in game two with 13 points while shooting 50-percent from the field, and it is that kind of sports betting bonus effort that head coach Erik Spoelstra will continue to look for when he calls on the grinding forward.

For the Bulls, an off-night for MVP Derrick Rose in which he scored just 21 points and finished with an awful seven-for-23 shooting percentage, while Luol Deng also finished with just 13 points on 33-percent shooting from the field. Chicago will have to be better from the field, and work harder to penetrate the Heat’s defense ahead of the Preakness Stakes betting race. Rose and his teammates took this one on the chin and have to understand going forward that despite a strong defensive effort they will need to be better on offense. That sets the stage for game three of the series, as the Bulls look to rebound.
