Guitar Hero 5 Video Game Cheats and New Features

Guitar Hero 5 is available today and for some, this is the first half of your Guitar Hero 5 / Guitar Hero Van Halen bundle. The game features 85 songs, new GH features and the debut of Kurt Cobain. Expect a lot of the standard Guitar Hero cheats to work with the game.

The coolest new feature of the game is the ability to totally customize your band. In the past, you could only play your standard four band set. Guitar Hero 5 allows your band to include two guitars, two drums, two singers, or mix and match however you want. I like this feature a lot. I think in a game called Guitar Hero, you should be able to play as many guitars as you want with your band. You also have the option to purchase yet another new GH guitar or a new set of a drums.

Another cool feature about the game is the ability to dynamically switch up your settings in the middle of a song. If a song is too hard, players can immediately change the difficulty level. If a song is too easy, players can crank up the difficulty level. The same goes for the instruments. I don’t know why, but if you start out playing guitars and decide you want to sing you can do this without restarting the song. If you have ever played the game, you know what a pain it could be to start and have to restart the entire song to make a change.

Check out the new game featuring former Nirvana singer, Kurt Cobain here.

No official cheats have been released yet, but here are some standard Guitar Hero game cheat codes that tend to work in all of the games.

• Air Instruments — Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, Red, Red.
• Always Drum Fill — Green, Green, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Yellow, Yellow.
