Former WWE Star Jeff Hardy Arrested On Drug Charges

Jeff Hardy Mug ShotJeff Hardy is in big trouble. The former WWE superstar has been arrested for a variety of drug charges. Hardy was found with prescription pills and anabolic steroids. Hardy had just left the WWE less than two weeks ago. This isn’t exactly the life-after-wrestling that Hardy Boyz fans expected for their favorite pro wrestler.

I came across the story earlier today online. I couldn’t get any verification from it, so I just sat on it. Several reputable sources have since corroborated the story. Hardy is still in jail as of this writing. Hardy is currently held on $125,000 bail. See, he should have saved his Money in the Bank!

The charges are serious for Hardy and he could face some serious jail time. Police used a search warrant to search Hardy’s house. 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia were found in the search.

The pilot.com reports – “Hardy was charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.” Wow!

The news probably comes of something of a relief to the WWE. Hardy just left the WWE less than two weeks ago after his WWE contract expired. The WWE put a full court press on to try and keep Hardy. In all fairness to the WWE, Hardy is not under contract and this really doesn’t fall under their watch. At the same time, I find it hard to believe that a guy just opens up a drug dealing business in 10 days. If Hardy was involved with this while under a WWE contract, it will come out. If that is the case, questions will have to be answered about how strong the WWE Wellness Policy really is.

It is hard at this point not to be anything but disgusted with Hardy. Hardy lived the dream of wrestling fans all over the world. Hardy had at all from stardom, to fame, to WrestleMania moments, and a real WWE legacy. Hardy repeatedly has been in drug-related trouble throughout his career. Hardy left the WWE several years ago after breaching the WWE Wellness Policy. Hardy also was suspended two years ago for breaching policy.

I understand that Hardy’s plans following his WWE career was to shop a reality show. I heard from several sources that he was close to landing a deal with MTV. What exactly the show would be about is anyone’s guess. I doubt very much MTV will be too excited to get in business with a guy who is looking at some serious jail time.

Then again if Hardy really wants to be a reality television star, Celebrity Rehab 4 starts filming in a few
