Dragon Gate USA Untouchable – Preview

Dragon Gate USA Untouchable This Friday night, November 6, 2009, marks the premiere of the second ever pay per view, courtesy of Dragon Gate USA, a promotion from Japan now branching into the United States. For those of you who are not familiar with Dragon Gate, Dragon Gate is a very popular professional wrestling promotion in Japan, with origins from Mexico, utilizing a unique style, consisting of mainly high flying maneuvers, as well as technical wrestling and submissions. It is notorious for producing some of the greatest junior heavyweights in the business, under a common trainer, in Ultimo Dragon. The event is entitled Untouchable, and will feature the top stars from Japan, as well as here in the United States, going at it inside the squared circle.

The first match scheduled, is Dragon Kid vs. Masato Yoshino. These two individuals have battled time and time again in Japan, and are now bringing their ongoing feud into the United States. These two had a match with one another at the first Dragon Gate USA pay per view, Enter The Dragon, and had a phenomenal match! This rematch, should be no exception, and if you plan on ordering this pay per view, think twice before blinking, because these two are a few of the fastest, most amazing pro wrestlers you’ll see anywhere in the world!

Next, we are set to see a grudge tag team match, featuring two of CHIKARA’s best, in Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw vs. Yamato and Gran Akuma. This match, has been booked as a result of what went down at Enter The Dragon. After a special CHIKARA 6 man tag match, Mike Quackenbush addressed the fans, but was interrupted by Yamato, as brash, cocky, young man from the Orient. Yamato proceeded to kick Quackenbush in the crotch, and beat him down. Meanwhile, Jigsaw and Gran Akuma charged out to make the save, and ran Yamato out of the ring. As the three men stood tall in the middle of the ring, Gran Akuma turned on his partners, Jigsaw and Quackenbush, beating them down, and walking out with Yamato. This is the first story line, to show up in DGUSA, and this match up, at Untouchable, should be very interesting, both physically, and psychologically.

After, we are going to see Bryan Danielson vs. Naruki Doi, in what promises to be a classic encounter, between two of the best wrestlers in the entire world. At Enter The Dragon, Doi defeated Shingo, in what was truly an amazing match, and this one should be no exception. Also, this is Bryan Danielson’s final independent wrestling match, before officially signing with the WWE. In a sense, this is The American Dragon’s farewell match up, and Doi will certainly bring out the best in him, for what promises to be an unbelievable bout between two of the very best!

Following, we are going to witness Brian Kendrick vs. CIMA. For those of you who are only aware of Brian Kendrick through his stint in WWE, you are in for a pleasant surprise, being that he truly a great wrestler, who is more than capable in pulling out tremendous match ups. His opponent, CIMA, is a world class athlete from Dragon Gate in Japan, who is a great wrestler, known for his high flying, high impact maneuvers. These two men’s styles mesh very well, and they should put on a very good match.

Up next, is the match that I am looking forward to the most. It will be Davey Richards, notorious for his ultra stiff kicks here in the United States, vs. Shingo, known for his powerful, devastating maneuvers in Japan. These two are both two of the hardest hitting pro wrestlers in the world, and this match should blow the roof, off of The Windy City! I can’t wait!

Finally, in the main event of the evening, we are going to witness, what will be a awe inspiring tag team dream match, as The Young Buck, Matt and Nick Jackson, one of the highest flying, quickest tag teams in the United States, take on Ryo Saito and Genki Horiguchi, two individuals from Japan, who were involved in the 2006 match of the year for Ring Of Honor, and recieved a full 5 star rating, courtacy of Wrestling Observer! In my mind, I like to think of this as a puzzle. You’ve got 4 pieces, 4 world class professional wrestlers, and when the pieces are put together, the puzzle is complete, an extraordinary piece of abstract artwork. I couldn’t imagine there being any better way to end, what promises to be an amazing show, top to bottom!

Overall, This looks like it’s going to be a tremendous event, booked by the best booker in the bueness, in my mind, Gabe Sapolsky. I’d also like to congradulate Gabe, for the newest addition of his family, his son, who was born this past weekend. For only 10 or 15 bucks, you can witness 2 of the best hours of pro wrestling, found anywhere in the entire world. There is now NO EXCUSE, for not ordering this event. I’m counting down the days, anxiously awaiting what Dragon Gate USA calls, Untouchable, and let me tell you, if you can find a certain show from WWE or TNA that can touch this show, I’d love to check it out, but I seriously don’t thinks that’s possible!
