Diablo is coming for mobile!
Diablo started its journey back in 1997 and ever since then we have seen many of its games on the market. Some received great praise while some were tossed away like garbage. However, the franchise mainly revolved around the three core games: Diablo, Diablo II, and Diablo III.
Players spent years of their life in the dungeons of the game, looting stuff and grinding monsters over and over. Then slowly, these games made their way on multiple platforms which invited even more players worldwide.
We saw Diablo spreading its wings on Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and most recently on PC. But its biggest endeavor is coming this year when the game will be finally released on the mobile platform.
Here is everything we know about Diablo Immortal:
What is Diablo Immortal About?
Just like its predecessors, Diablo Immortal will be a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, or MMORPG for short. However, unlike the past games, Diablo Immortal is specially designed for the mobile platform which makes it the first in the franchise to launch on mobile.
The story of Diablo Immortal will take place between the events of Diablo II: Lords of Destruction and Diablo III. According to the official website of the game from Blizzard, the synopsis of the story reads: “The Archangel Tyrael is presumed dead, and mankind is left to deal with the aftermath of his actions. Fragments of the shattered Worldstone, still embued with great power, are tainting the land. Diablo’s minions hope to harness that power to allow the Lord of Terror to return.”
The game will allow the players to choose a class for their characters from the 6 given classes which are:
- Demon Hunter
The game will be introducing some new boss level monsters which the players need to watch out for:
- The Skeleton King
- Haunted Carriage
- Glacial Colossus
The good news is that the game will support cross-platform gameplay so now players can switch between Android to iOS devices or to PC at their ease without losing game data. The game is expected to be free to play however Blizzard has claimed that they will be giving the game all the AAA features and experience across all the platforms it will be played on.
