Dexter New Blood Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Dexter: New Blood, a revival of the popular serial killer series, premiered on Showtime on Sunday night, eight years after the show’s sad end. An effort was made to rectify the widely-decried conclusion of the classic season 8 by rebooting the series 10 years later. After a 10-episode stint that averaged about 8 million views per week, the comeback must have done it right since it has now become Showtime’s highest viewed miniseries of all time.

Here’s everything we know about it.

Dexter New Blood Season 2 Cast

Although Michael C. Hall’s character Dexter has been killed off, we may hope to see other characters from the latest season come back if the show gets to run a second lap. Even though Alano Miller’s character, Sergeant Logan, died in season one, we may assume that Jack Alcott, who played Harrison Morgan, the son of Dexter Morgan, will come back, as will Julia Jones, who plays Chief Of police Angela Bishop, as well as Johnny Sequoyah, who plays Audrey Bishop.

The founding ensemble actress Jennifer Carpenter, who played Dexter’s deceased sister Debra all through the current season, is likely to be a part of season 2.

Dexter New Blood Season 2 Release Date

I think it’s too early to speculate on this – particularly since the show may already be over. Dexter: New Blood’s season 2 could certainly be at least seven to ten months away. Who knows? It might be back in eight years, just like last time.

Dexter New Blood Season 2 Plot

After Dexter died in the New Blood conclusion, Phillips has disclosed that season 2 will center on Harrison, Dexter’s adult son. Even when a future installment is confirmed, it’s too soon to predict what will happen. Asked about Harrison’s “complex character” as well as “dark passenger” roots, he said, “Harrison is a fascinating person.” He has what it takes. As shown in that last scene, Harrison has a deep-seated desire to murder Dexter.

He went on to say: “It was also unexpected to Dexter that Harrison’s take on vigilante violence differed from that of Dexter himself. Because of his father’s Batman and Robin persona, the young guy has an air of young optimism about him. Imagine how many people we’re protecting every time a few of these criminals are taken out of the equation. Dexter didn’t even consider it.

When Dexter killed criminals, he did it by his code.” In the upcoming installment, it’s not yet certain how Harrison’s tale will develop. However, it’s expected to mirror the events of season 1.
