Bark-O-Ween: Dog Costumes For Halloween ’09

Wonder Woman Dog Costume Like most dog owners, I have to make a very important decision: what will my Bichon Frise be for Halloween? The possibilities are endless, and costumes for pets are available both online as well as in your local pet stores.

According to The Shopping Blog, the most popular costumes for pets are:

1. Pumpkin
2. Devil
3. Bowties/Fancy Collars
4. Witch
5. Superdog/Supercat
6. Princess
7. Bat
8. Dog
9. Angel
10. Bee

[adinserter block=”1″]CostumeCraze.com also has some truly imaginative costumes for your beloved pooch. Some of which are: a veterinarian, Buzz Lightyear, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Robin, The Joker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Astro from the Jetsons, Frankenstein, Dracula, Scooby-Doo, Elvis, and the dog from the movie Corpse Bride. More generic costumes include: a pumpkin, awitch, a princess, a pirate queen, a devil, a pirate king, and a harem girl.

Dog owners should also consider having their pet’s costume match their own. Rocking the Captain Jack Sparrow look this October 31st? Well, the pirate king or queen costume is perfect for your pooch! Going as Batman? Get your dog the Batman, Joker, or Robin costume for a cute theme.

Considering going as the Corpse Bride and having your significant other dress as Victor? Well, the skeletal dog from the movie is going to look absolutely adorable on your puppy! If you want to instead dress as one of the Disney Princesses, the princess costume listed above will make sure you and your pretty girl look like royalty.

The Jetsons families with Astro or as the Star Wars characters with your pooch as Yoda, are great costume choices. And of course there is always Dorothy and her friends, especially if your dog is small enough and looks like Toto.

There are many fantastic costumes to chose from as a dog owner, but just remember to keep your pet on a leash so that they don’t get loose and make a run for it. Have a happy and safe Halloween with man’s best friend!

  1. L.A.-based boutique Satine is virtually opening its doors to a much bigger public.

The favorite-to-the-stars boutique has relaunched its Web site — http://www.fit-flop-

shoe.com — this week adding original editorial content to the shopping experience.
Looks like 7 For All Mankind has been anticipating the warm weather as much as we

have. The trend-setting denim brand debuted Hot Weather Must Haves — a short film

highlighting the season's hottest styles — and a trivia contest to go with it on

    Facebook this week.
According to owner Jeannie Lee, Satine's new site is an effort to give online

shoppers an idea of what shopping at the boutique — which carries a mix of well-

known designers including Lanvin, Isabel Marant and Azzedine Ala?ˉa and hard to

find indie favorites like Tsumori Chisato and Mirco

Giovaninni — itself is like. "That's the only way for people who can't come to

our store, to have the experience as to what it is like to shop here and give them

our point of view," Lee told WWD.
And that point of view is well represented on the store's new online home. "We

really felt that the old site wasn't reflective of our personality. We wanted to

make sure it really had our DNA and our point of view, something boutique-y, small

and a little bit quirky," she added.
To that effect the new site includes two bi-weekly editorially minded features —

"Satine Diary" and "Je T'aime".The "Satine Diary" section is pure content according

to Lee, housing designer Q&A's, street style snapshots and the Satine playlist,

recommending music to go with featured trends. "Je t'aime" is where the Satine

teams tries their hand at merchandising, with not only product shots and runway

photos but styled original content. "Je t'aime gives us a chance to merchandise the

site in a way that tells a story. as opposed to just looking at a bunch of

dresses," Lee said. In addition to the two new sections, Satine has also added a

daily blog where the boutique's team covers "the length and breadth of fashion,

music, design, street-style, film, pop culture and anything at all that is

    inspiring."
