Abdullah the Butcher Responds to Superstar Billy Graham

Abdullah the Butcher has responded to Billy Graham's criticismIn case you haven’t heard, Superstar Billy Graham has waged a public war against his old foe Abdullah the Butcher. Graham is outraged over the induction of Abdullah into the WWE Hall of Fame. While the Butcher has always been a man of few words, he has finally responded to the Superstar.

Abdullah the Butcher was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. This upset former WWWF world champion Superstar Graham so much that the Superstar is demanding to be removed from the Hall of Fame due to the inclusion of the Butcher. The Superstar recently had harsh words about the situation in an interview with Slam Sports.

“For the WWE to induct into their Hall of Fame, Abdullah The Butcher, who has never wrestled one match under a WWE contract, is bordering on blasphemy,” said Graham.

“It is a shameless organization to induct a bloodthirsty animal such as Abdullah The Butcher into their worthless and embarrassing Hall of Fame and I want the name of Superstar Billy Graham to be no part of it. The WWE and their Hall of Fame is disgustingly embarrassing, I want out.”

Abdullah has finally broken his silence of all places, Facebook.com. I am sorry but just the idea of the Abdullah the Butcher that I grew up carving heads and eating paper writing posts on Facebook is incredibly funny and surreal. Anyway, fans have been asking the Butcher about the Superstar’s comments on his Facebook page and the Butcher finally broke his silence about his fellow Hall of Famer.

“Please no more comments about the shit Billy Graham said about me…I helped Superstar Billy Graham when he was in Calgary. I loaned him money. For him to say I shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame is wrong. I still think he’s a nice guy, but he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Why shouldn’t I be in the Hall? They put Drew Carey in. What’s wrong with me? I drew money all over the world!”

As I said when I originally wrote about the story, I am siding with the Butcher in this one and I like the Superstar. But the Butcher is right. It makes zero sense to me that the Superstar would be so outraged over Abdullah yet has never said word about Drew Carey and other celebrities in the Hall of Fame. Heck, he even shared the stage with Pete Rose who went in with the same class as Graham. Graham also has not said a word about the Original Sheik who went in a few years ago and was very similar to Abdullah. It just really doesn’t add up.

Billy Graham has never met a controversy he doesn’t like and I am sure he will respond to the Butcher’s comments. I just have no idea what went wrong between those guys. I remember watching Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling back in 1984 when those two guys were feuding with each other. They wrestled together in many territories throughout their respective careers and I never heard a peep about heat. Additionally I can’t recall Graham saying one bad word about the Butcher in his book.

I have already said it and I’ll say it again. It really is disappointing to see the behavior of Billy Graham over the last few years. I think he is a great guy in my personal dealings with him, yet unfortunately he will be remembered as a bitter, angry, delusional ex-wrestler thanks to his rants over the last few years. I just hope that the Superstar can preserve whatever is left of his legacy and go away quietly before he tarnishes his reputation beyond the point of no return.
