3 Most Anticipated Upcoming WWE Events

As one of the first primary users of pay per view technology, WWE has attracted millions of fans worldwide. It has done this primarily through the promotion of its mega events that can be viewed by anyone with the means to access to the broadcast. While there is little substitute to attending an actual event live, the reality is that this is not always possible. No matter if you are an avid follower of WWE who will travel to see each major event, or if you are just as eager to sit in the comfort of your own home to watch the action, there are some highly anticipated WWE Events coming up that you should be aware of.

Clash of Champions – September 25, 2016

This long awaited replacement to the ever popular Night of Champions is slated to take place at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. As a new fixture on the pay per view circuit, it is certain to attract a sizeable viewership as well. This upcoming event will be the first branded event under the Raw label within the current extension that WWE entered into in 2016. It is also the first Raw-branded event to take place since way back in 2007, so fans will consider this long overdue – hence the excitement. There will be quite a few superstars featured at this event, including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, Chris Jericho, and Big E.

Hell In A Cell – October 30, 2016

Taking place at the TD Garden in Boston, this has become an annual pre-Halloween event that is highly anticipated. It has a unique concept that has turned it into a sensational evening. Hell in a Cell is a WWE branded concept that has been growing in popularity every year since its inception back in 2009. On this night, each of the wrestlers will compete inside a roofed cell structure that is 20-feet high. The cell surrounds the entire ring and ringside area. This unique setup appeals to many fans and is well received by professional wrestlers as well. All of the matches in the main card take place under this Hell in a Cell concept that the WWE has built. While the participants for this years edition have not quite been announced yet, you can bet that it will be a star studded lineup, as it always is.

Roadblock – December 18, 2016

As the last main WWE event of the 2016 season, this promises to be a big one. Taking place at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Roadblock is being promoted as the second in a series that first aired back on March 12th of this year. That was an event that had Triple H take on and defeat Dean Ambrose in defense of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. A total of nine matches were held during the first Roadblock, so fans should look for a similar structure in this one. This is a Raw branded event and will be aired exclusively on the WWE Network.
