Michael Bisping Is The Second Best UFC Middleweight In The World

Michael BispingLet’s make one thing clear I do not like Michael Bisping. He is a disturbing, pompous jerk and that is on a good day. He is the type of person who says what is on his mind but the moment you call him on his crap he will tell you you’re out of line. But make no mistake about it Saturday night, although the scorecards don’t reflect it, Michael Bisping won.

Bisping won on many levels but the most important thing he won last night was respect. Many of his critics will tell you he is at least top ten. With his performance last night tells me is he is the best middleweight in the world not called Anderson Silva. Sonnen looked flat and outside of the takedowns looked very weak. here to read more , , ,

Sonnen & Evans Winners On UFC On Fox 2

UFC on Fox 2 resultsIt was a bitter sweet night for the UFC when it comes to UFC on Fox 2 results. On the bright side, they got the right winners for their future UFC money matches. On the downside, they probably won’t have many new viewers the next time out on Fox after tonight’s grinding broadcast.

The UFC took advantage of new viewers and publicity with their first FOX broadcast and delivered expected fireworks. Unfortunately for a show that needed to follow that momentum, they came up real small tonight in Chicago. Three decision fights with very little fire power may have stalled any momentum from the first broadcast right in its place.

Let me be clear as an MMA fan, I enjoyed most of the night. Yet even I couldn’t find much redemption in the opening fight. As here to read more , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

UFC On Fox 2 Predictions & Analysis

UFC on Fox 2It has been a whirlwind of activity lately for the world’s largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion. The UFC continues to start 2012 with a roar of activity this weekend with their return to network television as the UFC presents UFC on FOX 2 from Chicago, Illinois. The main card features a trio of fights, capped off by Light Heavyweight and Middleweight title eliminator bouts. A late injury to former main event fighter Mark Munoz caused some card-shuffling, but many would argue that this has only made the card more exciting with more marketable bouts.

In the main event of the evening “Sugar” Rashad Evans continues his never-ending quest towards former teammate and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones when he takes on Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis. The co-main event of the evening sees a battle between two here to read more , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Chael Sonnen Vs. Michael Bisping Set For UFC On Fox 2

Chael Sonnen Ariel HelwaniThe UFC is shaking things up in a big way for their UFC on FOX 2 special. The co-headliner has been changed due to injury and fans will now get a fight they can sink their teeth into as Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping will finally take place with a big reward for the winner.

News broke yesterday that Mark Munoz is hurt and had to pull out of the event. That is terrible news for Munoz who in my opinion, had a great shot of not only beating Chael Sonnen, but actually beating Anderson Silva. What I think doesn’t make a bit of difference here because it will be awhile before we ever find out whether those are true statements, if we ever find out here to read more , , , , ,
